DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (ODL)

Overview

The Diploma in Management (ODL) is designed to appreciate learner’s experience in the industry and helps them to nurture their pre-existing skills to become excellent managers, administrative officer’s and decision-makers with broad strategic vision. This programme views management as an integrated process and helps students develop a global view and respond effectively to changes in the economic, technological, cultural and political environments. Specific skills in areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and management is set as the core of the programme to produce creative problem solvers that will be desirable by future employees.

Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:

  1. Outline the concepts and theories of management.
  2. Apply practical and theoretical understanding to solve business management problems.
  3. Show entrepreneurial skills in addressing business management related issues while applying digitalisation in executing tasks.
  4. Demonstrate teamwork, interpersonal, effective communication and social skills.
  5. Display professional and ethical business management conduct.
  6. Use the skills and principles of lifelong learning in their academic and career development leading towards leadership characteristics.

A pass in SPM with at least credit in any 3 subjects, or any equivalent qualification

OR

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject, or any equivalent qualification

OR

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul

OR

A pass in SKM Level 3 in a related field, and a pass in SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject

Any qualifications equivalent to Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF)
