Diploma in Electronics Engineering

Overview

The Diploma in Electronics Engineering programme prepares students for entry-level positions that deal with practical application of designing and operation of electronic circuits, devices and communication systems. The programme aims to prepare graduates to have a command of electronics engineering knowledge and hands-on skills relevant to industry or to pursue higher studies within the field.

 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic laws & principles of electronics, electrical and science theories
  • Apply knowledge, skills and computational tools in various electronics engineering situations
  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic social and environmental responsibilities
  • Demonstrate an understanding on the importance of ethical and professional practice within the field
  • Demonstrate an ability to discuss and present technical information in appropriate oral or written form for given audience. Work collaboratively as part of a team undertaking a range of different team roles
  • demonstrate an ability to solve engineering problems, develop creative thinking and problem solving skills through application of concepts to relevant situations
  • Demonstrate the importance to engage in lifelong learning, adapt new ideas, process and procedure for career development
  • Demonstrate self-confident and entrepreneur skills to set up own business or discover business opportunities.
  • A pass in SPM with at least credit in any 3 subjects, or any equivalent qualification

    OR

    A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject, or any equivalent qualification

    OR

    A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul

    OR

    A pass in SKM Level 3 in a related field, and a pass in SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject

    OR

    Any qualifications equivalent to Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF)
